Purchased Lamb loin chops and beef mince from quality fresh meats Craigieburn and was absolutely appalled when I opened the bags. The meat was GREEN, brown and smelt absolutely disgusting. They have reddish pink lights at the shop so you can’t tell what the meat looks like until you get home. I am extremely disappointed and will not be purchasing meat from here ever again $30 worth of meat down the drain. Disgusting.

First time I bought from here I purchased 4 kg of off mince. Brought it back and got it replaced. Same thing happened with some lamb chops (they weren’t off but they were clearly old from smell and colour) It’s been a few months since and I thought I’d risk buying some premade burgers. Cooked them today and what a surprise they’re off!! They went from the shop to the freezer every time. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is just ridiculous. Stop selling expired meat.

Bought $30 worth of lamb and when we got home to marinate it as soon as we opened the bag we smelt how off the meat was! Literally came straight home so not like it was sitting in the heat. It was not left out at all so no way for it to have gone if on the 4 minute drive home. Now that I'm reading through the reviews looks like this is a reoccurring thing as it's happened a few times before that they sell people off meat.

I purchased $29 worth of lamb shoulder and the cut was half fat and the meat ended up being tough despite being slow cooked. How can a business sell this product? It’s not my responsibility as a consumer to assess everything I buy, it’s the business owners responsibility to deliver on service expectations - which in this case wasn't quality meat.

Very disappointing, after speaking to the guy behind the counter and specifically asking him if the skinless chicken thighs had leg attached he assured me it was thigh only, but when i got home and inspected leg was attached, absolutely fuming tried calling store and guess what no answer. Hate getting ripped off paying for boneless thigh and getting a third of product being leg which is much cheaper and contains lots of sinew, WONT BE GOING BACK, After reply- you obviously do not listen to customers feedback either, I did not see the chicken in window as i was ordering from around the other side, I asked your staff DO YOUR CHICKEN THIGHS CONTAIN LEG AS WELL. Maybe you should be asking do you still have your receipt as then you could find out who served me. Coming from a chef of 20 years and for your info I usually pay $9 to $10 per kg for proper skinless chicken thigh from my regular butcher.
