  We stopped randomly and purchased chicken breast, chicken thighs, and a Black Angus T-bone steak. That evening we cooked some of the chicken and one of the steaks. Straight away, the chicken had a slight smell, but we didn’t think too much of it at the time. The steak also didn’t seem right—it looked unusually dark in places, almost as if it had been discoloured. After cooking, neither tasted fresh or of the quality we’d expect from a premium butcher. The following day, things got much worse. When we opened the remaining chicken to prepare lunch, the smell was overwhelming. It was clearly off, so it went straight into the bin. The remaining steak had also lost its fresh red colour and looked old. In the end, we threw everything away. We’ve never had this issue with our regular butcher in Jandakot, where the meat is not only more affordable but consistently fresh and of much higher quality. While the staff were friendly, the quality of the meat was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this butcher. Please check your purchases carefully before leaving.

  Just had the best meat from The Butchery on Cranford. They have a beautiful range of cuts, and when I went in, the guy was so friendly and welcoming. I also called up with what felt like a very silly question about whether the pre-prepared, vacuum-sealed curry needed to go in the freezer or not. The lady was so lovely, kind and helpful. Like it was no trouble at all. On a busy Saturday morning too. Customer service and quality food like this is exactly why I’ll support local butchers over the big guys every day. Thank you, guys. The quality is amazing and the service is fabulous. I can’t wait to try your lamb next. I’ll definitely be back again!

  First time trying this butcher today. Fantastic customer service, greeted with a friendly smile and a welcome straight away. Had some of their burgers and lamb sausages, very tasty, we will be back.

  I’ve been to this butcher twice now and have had delicious, super fresh prodcuts both times. The fact that basically everything is gluten free is a massive bonus having a coeliac hubby and two coeliac kids. Will be coming back for more.

  A wonderful first experience at this butcher - super friendly staff and incredible quality meats and sausages. The marinated steaks tasted like a meal from a top class restaurant! Thank you for making our family feel like they were being fed like a king and queen. We will definitely be making this butcher our regular!
