  I always buy goat meat from Al’s Fresh Meat for my Nepalese-style cooking, and honestly, it’s the best place I’ve found. The quality of the meat is always fresh and perfect for flavourful dishes. You can really tell the difference when you cook. The service is just as good staff are friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. It makes the whole experience easy and comfortable every time I go there. Highly recommended if you’re looking for good quality meat and great service.

  Very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely slow and appeared uninterested in serving customers. The service was poor, with long waiting times and little sense of urgency from the team. The meat quality was also below expectations and did not justify the price. Overall, the staff seemed unmotivated and lacked professionalism, which made the entire experience frustrating. I would not recommend this place unless significant improvements are made to both the service and food quality. Please hire some workers who r skilled active and quickly take the orders and execute them.. Very slow and sleepy always

  The goat meat was fresh and good quality, so no complaints there. However, there was no weighing scale visible at the counter — the meat was weighed out of sight and we were just handed a total. It may well be accurate, but as a customer you have no way to verify it, and that lack of transparency is unsettling. A visible scale at the point of payment is a basic courtesy that builds trusts.

  AL's Fresh is hands down the best place in Launceston for goat meat. The quality is always spot on – fresh, tender and really tasty. Prices are very fair too, much better than a lot of other places. Super convenient and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It’s become my go-to butcher, especially for goat. Highly recommend!

  Meat is primarily of good quality, but cleaning stds. ventilation, and customer service needs to be improved a lot.
