  Recently moved to the area. Tried this butcher after was recommended by a mate that goes to the southern river branch. We’ve now been into the store multiple times a week. Love the steaks and assortment of sausages. The Vegemite cheese has been the best so far and has been the most reoccurring purchase for us

  Rump Shakers Byford is a fantastic local butcher! They have a great selection of fresh, high quality meat, and everything we’ve purchased has been delicious. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help with recommendations. Excellent quality and service. We’ll definitely continue coming back!

  Just moved to the area and have been recommended by a few mates to try the meat here. When we were served on our second visit, close to closing time, the young lad that served me was mopping the floor. He failed to clean his hands prior to handling the meat I asked for. He used a bag, but when dealing with cleaning chemicals, I feel a hand wash is necessary. Bought ribs and a few other things both visits. The first time the meat was dry ,especially the ribs, but edible. the second time my son and I were unable to eat the ribs, due to a foul taste and smell after being cooked. Ended up chucking out $120 worth of meat. Very disappointing considering the stellar reviews.

  Rump Shakers Byford is a brilliant local butcher. I buy topside from them every fortnight to make my jerky, and the quality is consistently excellent. I also regularly grab their steaks, rump caps and sausages, and I’ve never been disappointed. Their sausage range is massive, with heaps of different flavours to choose from. Cahal and the team are always friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. You can tell they take real pride in the quality of their products and the service they provide. Cahal has also recently started reminding me to remove the plastic packaging before eating anything, which is the kind of expert advice you just don’t get at the supermarkets 😂 Highly recommend Rump Shakers Byford.

  While I do rate this butcher for quality, I’ve had two different staff members over the past two weeks take chicken out of the trays with their bare hands and put it into a bag for me, which they then tied (with raw chicken on their hands). This is highly unhygienic and can make people sick. Please use some tongs! Thanks
