Bought 2 lamb shanks today. One fresh and meaty, one that looked and felt much older, not much meat with a huge thick bone in it. Looks like we got the dud from the last batch. At least at a supermarket you can view and choose your meat easily. Person who served us wasn't very nice either.

I’ve been in twice in a week and customer service from here was terrible. The lady needs a lesson in serving customers. No gloves were worn and touched all our meat with bare hands. I’m quite frankly grossed out by it! . Won’t be returning, it’s a shame as not alot of butchers are in the area and a lot are closing. My husband is a butcher by trade so very disappointed.

So grateful to have such a high quality local butcher! Such a great selection (especially love the sausages!) and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable!

Great meat, the steaks are next level good, really tasty and tender. Regularly get one of the family packs, great variety for kids and good value for the quality you get. Always good to support local and be met with friendly and welcoming chats. Do yourself a favour and get amongst it.

We've been visiting JB Butchers/Glen Forrest Meat Supply for many years. Friendly and efficient service. Good quality. Reasonable prices. John is equipped to deal with "bring your own containers", if you so desire, which works well for us. Highlights - the chicken scrolls, good quality lamb and hearty sausages. The Christmas menu is worth checking out too (locally sourced turkey!)
