I've shopped at Hagens Bentleigh, QVM and South Melbourne Market stores for years. Today, at South Melbourne Market, I asked for 450 g of shaved turkey because the pre-sliced turkey was too thick for what I needed. The young man serving me was happy to help, but an older staff member stepped in and said they wouldn't open a new piece until the pre-sliced stock had sold. I've never come across this at any other deli in the markets, where slicing to order is standard. Refusing a regular customer's simple request felt like poor service. Disappointing, and I'll be shopping elsewhere.

not great, one item was acceptable (chicken) other items beef (t-bone & eye fillet) not worth the price. Very arrogant the owners. Not even farmers or connected to the land which shows in their selection

Some of the best quality meat you could buy, well worth the price, the staff are always very friendly and helpful here.

TERRIBLE HYGINE AND FOOD SAFETY Forced to go to hagens as they are the only organic butcher near me. Never have I seen worse handling of raw meet. Gloves are often skipped when picking up meat. When worn, they are not taken off before the outside of the carry bag or the paying till is touched. Everything is highly contaminated and has touched raw meat. Shocking that this continues to go on.
