I have been coming to this family owned butcher for years (over 30 years now!) I have moved multiple times over the years, but always come back, as the meat has never disappointed and if they don’t have what I’m looking for they will order it in for me. I think he’s name is Danny or Daniel, he is always so kind and always has a smile, this is one of the reasons I always return!

I really like the sausage mince here and at times the chicken breast is great value. My criticism is the covert weighing and then no receipt spontaneously offered which has repeatedly led to being overcharged. Be very wary and ask for a receipt .

  • Extremely rude interactions from what seems to be the boss (a tall, middle-to-older-aged man). He guards the entrance with a stick well before closing time, up to 20 minutes before the advertised hours. The weight has been marked up on multiple occasions when processing orders. Additionally, staff willfully cross contaminate raw meats with registers and plastic bags, rendering the gloves they wear completely useless.

I've been cooking spits over hot coals for many years at family events. After a recommendation from a friend, we tried the Gourmet Meat Rack for our Xmas spit meat - marinated lamb and chicken gyros. The queue of people getting their meat on Xmas eve was a good sign... The quality of the meats and marinade was perfect. The family agreed that this was the best gyros we had ever had cooked at home! I'll be back for sure.

Asked for a lamb shoulder bone in, was given lamb forequarter & told it was comparable. Wasted 6 hours slow cooking to discover the entire cut was surrounded by a thick blanket of fat, as well as riddled with thick fat through the middle. Weight when I purchased was 2.1kg, over 1kg was fat and bones. Appalling. Had to throw it out. Beware when the butcher says 'yes I have that in the fridge out back' it's likely not what you've asked for. Will not return. Would not buy meat for my dog there let alone my family.
