  I was walking past and saw people unwrapping theirs and they looked impressive. So I got the toasted cheese wagyu and it went from there. It reminded me of a thick New York style pastrami sandwich in that it was simple, but well layered and delicious. I had a half in the car and it was enuff. The revelation was when I had the other half a while later with a glass of Asahi Dry and the combo was perfection. On top of that, the shop was spotless and the service friendly. Love a good food surprise!

  I had a very disappointing experience with one of the staff members.（an Asian guy） After placing my order, I waited with my young child. As the wait became quite long and my child was getting restless, I stepped away for a short time and returned later to collect the food. When I came back, there was nobody else waiting at the collection counter. I stood there clearly visible, yet the staff member did not acknowledge me, ask if I was waiting for an order, or check whether my food was ready. Instead, he continued serving other customers and carrying on with other tasks while I stood there waiting with my child. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that my food had already been prepared and was sitting on top of the oven the entire time. It would have taken only a few seconds to hand it to me. When he finally turned to speak to me, it was obvious that he knew exactly which order was mine and where it was located. This left me with the impression that I had simply been ignored despite being visibly present and waiting. I understand that restaurants can be busy, but basic acknowledgement and customer service should not be too much to ask. A simple “Are you waiting for an order?” could have resolved the situation immediately and saved both me and my child from standing there unnecessarily. Very disappointing service.

  I was here today (3 MAY 2026) with my family to get some meats. This butcher store is my family's go-to place for excellent cuts of meats and cured meats. The selection of the aforementioned here is not only very wide, but also very fresh and "yummy" looking. Service here is always very good - very friendly, very courteous, very helpful and very professional.

  The meats on display are impressive but unfortunately the sandwich we had (rare roast) was underwhelming. The bread was toasted well and the cheese was nice and melty, but the beef was overcooked (which I can forgive a little given the sandwich was toasted, but it was properly fully grey and a bit dry). Flavour-wise it was pretty plain. Not a bad thing for a classic combination with beef and horseradish, but the onions really could have used more caramelisation.

  I had a sandwich from Vic’s and it was hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had! So tasty, fresh, and full of flavour, with so many great options to choose from. The service was excellent too. I’m a very happy customer and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Vic’s to anyone who loves a good hot or cold sandwich m, you won’t be disappointed!
