If you’re in the McLaren Vale region, Ellis Butchers are definitely worth a visit. The shop is so nice to walk into, and their range of products is second to none. The staff are really friendly and helpful, just tell them what you’re thinking and they’ll point you in the right direction. The quality is outstanding and they support local produces, and being on the Fleurieu, that means it’s going to be great. And check out the dry aging cabinets, these guys really do take meat to the next level. It’s impossible to walk out of their store without buying something. Well done guys, doing the Fleurieu Food scene a great service!

Great butcher. Knowledgeable bunch. Heaps of variety. I recently purchased a side of beef from them. They vac packed and labelled everything. Cut to my preferences (which has been an issue with other butchers). The quality it amazing. You might think it costs a bit, which it does, but you really get what you pay for. Please treat yourself - your taste buds and body will thank you 😊

First visit I thought the prices were a bit high, then I saw the quality. Completely justified. The skill and service here are on another level. Easily the best butcher I’ve been to. You’ve got a regular now.

This place got recommended to me. We got the marinated steak which was really nice. We got a massive Roast lamb with the bone in. Was a nice piece but could’ve done with a bit more marinade but was still nice to eat. Great service from the butcher who talked through what to do with the roast. We will be back.
