  Great hidden butcher in Angle Vale. I’ve been going to The Butcher’s Secret for about six months now and have always had a good experience. They have a good mix of options, including pre-sealed chicken and mince varieties, vacuum-sealed beef and other items, as well as the usual fresh meat behind the glass. I like that you can pick what suits you depending on what you’re after. Customer service has always been very good, but the main reason for this review is how they handled a recent issue. I had some chicken breast go off while still in sealed packaging, so I gave them a call to discuss it. Chelsea answered the phone and was very receptive. She offered an exchange, store credit, or a full refund straight away. I understand these things can happen with fresh meat for whatever reason, but the important part for me was how it was handled. Chelsea immediately turned it into a positive customer experience and gave me a proper resolution. This is exactly why I keep going here. It was also the complete opposite of an experience I had at Angle Vale Wholesale Meats with a similar issue, which is the original reason I went looking for a new butcher and found The Butcher’s Secret.

  Wow does this place pack a punch for a small shop. Was greeted straight away with a smile and offer to help. They have a huge selection of rubs and other smoking accessories along with a big selection of charcoal out the front. I bought a few different meats but the one that stands out is the top side sandwich steak which I use for jerky making, this has to be the cleanest cut I have ever got from any butcher with no fat to cut off at all. Highly recommend this butcher even if it is out of the way for some, well worth the drive and supporting independent local butchers EDIT: ok so jerky meat was still perfect, but the rest of the vac seal meat I bought went bad 3-4 days before its used by date… so essentially had to throw $25 worth of meat in the bin which was intended for Xmas day… the American red steak which still had 3 days almost blew up the packaging and the chicken went off :(. So am updating from 5 to 2 stars

  Been going to this butcher for a little under 2 years. Some things can be quite pricey and other things can be well priced. Their consistency of quality products is excellent. They have a broad selection of meats and rubs and I highly recommend them to others. Here is a 1kg ribeye I cooked the other night purchased from butchers secret. Thanks

  hi everyone I am writing this, as I believe that this shop is the best I have every come across. My sister lives in two wells and when we where visting a couple of weeks ago she said you need to try this butcher. We are on the road 24/7 and seen many butchers on our travels. I am gluten intorerate so buy food is different, but this store went out of is way to help. They have so much gluten free food and believe me it is so great. In fact they will do gluten free schnitzel for you. They did it on the spot but if they are busy in the prep room they will take orders and make them after I would like to give them a 10/10 for food and service sue and brian mercer skiozcreations thanku for making life good

  Got some quality scotch fillets the other day and just cooked them to perfection. The staff know their stuff and always other friendly advice
