Walked into MeatCo at Greenfields in Mackay running on 3am, post mine site fumes and questionable life choices… walked out a completely different man with a deep emotional attachment to dried meat. Got sent in by the supervisor on a simple mission: grab some salt and vinegar biltong and chilli garlic biltong. In, out, done. Easy. That plan lasted about five seconds. Shelley, absolute legend, starts handing out samples like she’s running MasterChef: Biltong Edition. “Try this one… nah wait… this one… actually you HAVE to try this…” Next minute I’ve forgotten my mission, my supervisor’s name, and possibly my own identity. I wasn’t shopping anymore. I was on a full blown meat pilgrimage. The salt and vinegar biltong hit me like a freight train and rearranged my personality. The chilli garlic? I would risk it all. Career, friendships, financial stability, gone. At one point I genuinely considered buying the entire shop and just living there. Rent is probably cheaper than my current situation anyway. Supervisor did eventually get his order… after I conducted a highly professional and completely necessary “quality control process” on half the store. If you’re tired, hungry, or emotionally vulnerable around elite tier snacks, do not walk into MeatCo unprepared. Bring cash, bring discipline, maybe bring a responsible adult to supervise you. Best biltong I have ever had. Not even remotely close.

Rukert (Riki) was absolutely astonishing. When I walked in, Riki was obviously VERY hard-working and VERY enthusiastic about his job and serving the customers to the BEST of his ability. He is the BEST retail worker and salesman I have ever seen; he sold me things I didn't know I needed in my life. Riki has the most mesmerising dance moves (tip: ask for the welcome dance). I will come every day he works. The biltong was very good as well. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience

The staff at MeatCo are always so friendly and genuinely helpful—they make every visit feel welcoming. And the quality of their products is next level. Their wagyu biltong is honestly to die for, perfectly seasoned and so moreish. You can really taste the care that goes into everything they sell. Highly recommend

Very nice. The Beer stick I had wasn't too salty but still had lots of pork flavor, additionally, the range of products are very diverse.
