  Very disappointing experience. The butcher was friendly and helpful in the shop and even appeared to throw in a couple of “freebies”, which we initially thought was very generous. However, when we got home, we noticed none of the meat had individual price labels, and looking at the total we paid, we questioned whether the “freebies” were actually free. The chicken swirl tasted very strange and unlike normal chicken, so we threw it out. Even worse, the American BBQ ribs tasted off when we cooked them only two days after purchase, despite being refrigerated the entire time. Friendly service on the surface, but unfortunately the quality and lack of clear pricing left us very disappointed.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a barbecue enthusiast and the guy behind Porky’s Paradise, I can honestly say Steak Kings Runaway Bay is the real deal. 🥩🔥 Their cuts are top quality — perfect marbling, incredible freshness, and you can tell they really care about their craft. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and passionate about good meat, which makes every visit a pleasure. It’s nice to take a break from the smoker and grab some of the best beef on the Coast. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality meat and great service! 👏

  We’ve been buying our meat here for the last ten years. For one, we’ve only been spoken to politely and we have never seen anyone else when we are there spoken badly to. We’ve never had a problem with products purchased here. We love their crumbed lamb cutlets. They’ve never failed us. And hardly any fat on them. We never buy any Tasmanian meat anywhere. It’s been a disappointment anywhere we have been. And we have paid a high price for it. It’s not worth it. Over rated. Other butcher shops in our travels. Blayney Hi-Grade Meats NSW. Killarney Meats NSW. Russell’s prime quality meats, in Moonee Beach NSW. Babinda meats FNQ. Atherton Table Top meats FNQ. Cross Bros. Walcha NSW.

  I was very disappointed with the hygiene practices at this butcher shop. I saw the butcher handling raw meat with his bare hands (NO GLOVES) and then touching other surfaces and items. This is extremely concerning and raises serious concerns about cross-contamination and food hygiene. Unfortunately, based on what I witnessed, I would NOT recommend this butcher shop.

  I highly recommend the frangipani and chicken swirl. My whole family, including toddler, love their food But what I love the most is how passionate the team is. When I bought the chicken swirl for the first time this week, two team members shared their families love it to and how they enrich the dishes. Thank you Steak team ❤️
