This is one of the best halal butcher shops I have ever been to. Always has the best meat and largest selection. When I have all my family friends come from across Australia. I buy the meat from here instead of going out. Because I know this is the supplier. We have massive BBQs and celebrations thanks to the team at Mabrouk and Sons - Southport. Highly recommended for all the brothers and sisters in GC.

I’ve been coming to this M&S halal butcher for many years and they never disappoint. The staff always friendly & welcoming. They even cut my whole chicken into pieces if I ask. They have great variety of fresh meat & poultry and also sell delicious pies which are perfect for lunch. The store always cleaned and located at good location with amples of street park. Highly recommended Mabrouk & Son Halal Butcher.

I am disappointed to write this but there has been such decline in the quality of meat sold here. I bought $40 worth of marinated meat which was completely rubbish, the marinated sauce was sweet and had herbs that was burnt before the meat was even cooked. The sweetness of marinated sauce was so strong that after adding heaps of salt, i couldn’t change the sweetness at all. Chicken sauce was even worse. I wouldn’t recommend their marinated meats and i wont be buying from here again. Just a heads-up before you plan to buy ready meat.

Very disappointing customer service. I always ask for a specific amount of meat, yet I’m constantly given less and have to ask again for the correct weight. If I clearly ask for a certain number of kilograms, why is it so difficult to simply give me what I asked for? Are you not listening or do you not understand? Today was especially frustrating. When I entered, there were three guys there, yet I was completely ignored and had to call someone to get served. When someone finally came over, the attitude made me feel like I was a problem for simply walking into the butcher shop. I was also very uncomfortable with the way my meat was handled—using bare hands to pack it and then throwing it onto the counter. I’m paying for the meat; I’m not taking charity from you. Please have some courtesy and respect. I’m going to eat this food, so basic hygiene and proper handling should not be too much to ask. I honestly feel I’m treated differently because I’m a woman. I don’t have a man buying meat for me, so I have no choice but to come in myself. I’m there for the meat, not for the guys. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable or disrespected just because I’m a female customer. Maybe you should put a bell on the door or offer self-service for female customers if serving women is such an inconvenience. At least then we wouldn’t have to stand there wondering whether someone is actually going to acknowledge us. They really need to learn customer service from Amin’s Butcher in West End. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve felt welcomed, respected and properly looked after as a customer. That is how customers should be treated. The meat may be good, but customer service, respect and hygiene matter too. It’s extremely disappointing, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously.
