  So a couple of weeks ago we purchased some of Bucks incredible pork breakfast sausages (five stars right there) and we asked for breast schnitzels. I explained I am unable to eat thigh (gag reflex with the textures) and we were assured the two schnitzels were breast meat. It’s a side story but we have a birthday tradition going for many years that no matter where we are (even camping on the runway outside Katherine!) we always have a birthday dinner of chicken breast schnitzels, mashed potatoes and gravy, it’s very special to us. We purchased two schnitzels - we were absolutely assured it was breast. The photos still turn my stomach so apologies if it has this reaction with you, I could not get a knife through it - the squeaking and faltering on the dat was very off putting. Could not even take a single bite. Did not want to post this as this is just a small family butcher - but took the photos in - “oh sorry about that”. I would’ve thought replacement schnitzels or a refund would’ve been more appropriate. I will never touch a schnitzel again. Ever. 15 years of tradition - can’t go through that again. The breakfast sausages are amazing. On reflection I can see that only five star reviews seem to evoke a response but just wanted to highlight our disappointment. the breakfast sausages are truly the best I’ve ever tasted.

  Greyish Nomads travelling through & popped in for some supplies....OMG....the marinated rib fillet was AWESOME. Looking forward to tasting our other purchases. Keep up the great work 👍

  Buck's Butcher shop is more than just chops and steaks... They make delicious fresh sausages with lots of interesting flavour highlights. Highly recommend them... and they have good fresh chops and steaks too! :-) Another great local business in Childers. Thanks Buck!

  Such friendly staff! Customer at front door said as I entered - Bacon is really good. He was right and had a steak on the BBQ that night - it was rib and so tender and tasty, cooked medium and was perfect. Thanks

  New to the area so Bucks happened to be my 1st butcher shop experience just by luck. Great shop, quality ingredients, the burgers were amazing amongst other things. Looks like Bucks will have to get use to seeing us around regularly.
