  Visiting from down south. Would always support a local butcher over the supermarkets anyday, and this was the only one anywhere near where we're staying. What a lucky find though!! In the few days we've been here we've tried their chicken schnitzel, beef sausages and their amazing wagyu pies. In fact we loved the pies soooo much that we went out of our way to get them again for our last few hours in town. Few bits of gristle here and there but otherwise flavour and quality were first class. Wish we'd bought a few to take back on the plane!!

  We bought some meat from them, went to cook it two days later and it smelt rotten and it had started turning green on the edges, went back to complain following day with the meat, they said as we had no proof it was rotten at the time not their problem. we had kept it refrigerated the whole time, even once discovering it to be off but they weren't interested. No customer service, even offering a discount on a replacement would have been a start. Previously we have had meat that has not been as tender or as flavorsome, it appears quality is not their specialty, at least Coles and Woollies would have refunded without question, back to getting meat from supermarket.

  We went yesterday 25/02/2026 and bought Italian sausages, snitzels and garlic chicken Kiev and they are the best I found between PD and smithfield this includes taste 😋 price and service. So we are going to travel 47min when we need to. ❤❤❤👍

  Visited recently and purchased some Emu to try for the first time as I was told this is the place to get it from. I was not disappointed. 👌 I am amazed with the range of meat on offer at this Butchers. Friendly staff and good local business. Happy supporting locals over big corporate businesses!

  Specially Meats at Smithfield Visited on 12/2022 I see a big sign "Lilydale Free Range Chicken" thinking that the shop is a shared premise. Anyhow, I still go in to check it out. Yes, it has a good variety of quality meats, but also has "good" prices too.
