I’ve always had a pleasant experience at Akkar Meats Merrylands. Every interaction I’ve had with the staff has been kind and welcoming, and I think they deserve more appreciation for the work they do. I’ve noticed some of the reviews can be a little harsh when it comes to customer service, but it’s important to remember that the shop is often very busy, especially during peak times. Working in a busy environment while serving so many customers isn’t always easy, and I think the staff do their best to keep things running smoothly. Personally, I’ve always found my interactions to be pleasant, and I appreciate the effort they put into serving their customers. A little patience and understanding can go a long way, and I’m happy to support a local business that has consistently given me positive experiences!

The meat is good, but business hours are a suggestion and employees will close up shop when they feel like it. This picture was taken at 5.30pm on Thursday when their closing hours on Thursday are 6pm. Service is also a hit or miss. If you're lucky you'll get someone decent and polite. If you aren't, you'll get someone - like I did - who will stare at you while you're waiting in line, only to just look away without calling you up for your turn. This place needs to seriously get it together especially with its business hours. This isn't the first time this has happened and it's ridiculous.
