Really really disappointed. Bought $56 worth of steak tonight (scotch fillet) and it had an extremely strong chemical smell when I got home and opened it. Was in a rush to get dinner on the table and hoped it was just something from the packaging that would disappear, so went ahead and cooked it, and the smell is pervasive throughout the meat. It’s not spoiled meat, it’s a sharp chemical smell. My husband said he’s experienced that smell in some butcher shops before, but has never had a steak where it actually tasted like that. Unfortunately it was inedible. The package of pork I bought at the same time gives off the same smell, so we aren’t even opening it. We’ve bagged up the steak packaging and one of the cooked steaks, and the pork, and will go back to get our money back - but that’s a 30-40 minute round trip, and doesn’t help our Friday night dinner. Given both meats have the exact same issue, unless they have a really good explanation about how this could have happened and why it won’t happen again, we won’t be returning, and will be telling others not to bother.

Absolutely fantastic. The Irish lady is great. I bought 2.45kg chicken breast $6.99 p/kg. Made 29 schnitzels & 19 chicken strip's. Yummy

Best topside by a mile for making Biltong(Jerky). Not wasting money at the chain stores for meat again. Great deals and you can smell the shop is clean .

Always love coming here, the lady who works there ( I’m sorry I don’t know her name) is the most friendliest person always fantastic to my kids and an absolute gem, thank you! Team the Black Angus rump steak is a ripper, some of the best steaks we have ever cooked. What ever you do please don’t take this off the menu and keep the cap on 👌….
